Why use flexible hoses for pressures up to 8 bar ( which are very expensive) instead of ordinary steel pipe?
Flexible hoses will wear, due to pulsing movements during conveying and are vulnerable to external damage.
The convey air has to be released from the receiving vessel through a pressure relieve valve, causing a considerable energy loss.
The pressure setting of the filter pulse air of the self cleaning filter in the receiving vessel is another issue to be considered.
Under atmospheric conditions, the pulse pressure is approx. 4 bar.
This means a pressure ratio of 5
In your design, the pulse pressure would become 5 x 3 = 12 bar
Is there also a vertical distance involved?
Are there temperatures involved?
Then the calculation is executed as usual, taking into account a backpressure at the end.
Which back pressure do you want to be calculated?

I wish I can tell more, but the pressurized tank that I was mentioning is not actual tank. It is a volume inside the soil with different back pressure, depening on depth and soil. Cement stays in the soil and air comes out. So no filter is needed.
This system will be mobile in the construction jobsites, that is why we are planing to use hoses. Steel pipe can be used in some cases.
The compressor will be after cooled. Max 70 degrees celsuis.
Could please calculate with 2 bar and 3 bar back pressure?

Preliminary calculation for a backpressure of 3 bar
(Lower backpressures will result in higher capacities)
Pipeline:
140 m – diameter 4” (0.100 m)
70 m – diameter 6“ (0.148 m)
Compressor 16.4 m3/min at 8 bar
Power approx 175 kW
Pressure drop 5 bar (8 – 3 = 5 bar)
Capacity approx. 50 tons/hr
SLR = 61.09
If needed, I can also post the full set of calculation figures (or change the design to a single diameter pipeline).

Cement Feeding
Hi Experts,
I would be thankful, if someone can help me with designing a cement feeding system.
We need to feed cement into the pressurized tank, pressure inside the tank is 2-3 bar
Cement mass flow must be 45000 kg/h
Feeding distance is 200 m, with 2 pcs 90 degrees corner
Feeding line will be mostly hose
Pressure up to 8 bar is possible
What should be the diameter of the pipeline?
What should be the capasity of the compressor?
