welcome to the real world where calculations are often of no use

suggest you try a mechanical agitator (rotaing shaft with tines) to break up the material blockage

regards

It sounds like a design problem rather then conveying problem. You are trying to solve vent issues in the conveying hopper but from your description it sounds your outlet size / geometry of hopper is probably not right or it could be bit of both contributing to the problem.

As they say a picture is more then a million words if you can provide with one it will be easier to comment.

I would agree with Mantoo, look at the hopper and outlet. Sounds like bridging above the outlet. Post a dimensioned sketch of the hopper and details of the flyash.

good morning sir

we thank you very much for the kind suggestions. we also thank you very much for one gentleman from delhi having rich experience in pneumatic conveying for hig kind suggestion in time.

how ever our problem remain same . being baggase , its is a problem . the material still not coming from chute to vessel ( our scope of supply ) installed below the esp hopper.

we have changed al the seal in bfly valves , changed the gate valve above esp . once again checked the vent valve at silo.

can any one suggest the supplier of inflated bfly valves manufacured in india .

Most often failure of material to flow from a hopper outlet is related to hopper flank angle and outlet size as a function of the flow properties of the stored material.

As yet we have still to see a dimensioned sketch of the hopper or any flow properties of this particular fly ash.
