Fintec Makes an Impact at Latomeio Exhibition

Visitors to the biannual Latomeio exhibition in Greece (16 to 18 May 2008) will be among the first to see the new Fintec 1440 track-mounted mobile impact crusher. The new machine is a result of collaboration between Fintec and at the company’s new owner, Sandvik.

Fintec Crushers and Screens Ltd. will use the Latomeio exhibition as the local launch pad for its new Fintec 1440 track mounted mobile impact crusher. Appearing on the stand of local dealer MTS, the new model combines Fintec’s experience in the design of mobile crushers with Sandvik’s unquestionable leadership in the manufacture of high output impact crushers for quarrying, demolition and recycling applications. Powered by a fuel-efficient Cat C-13 diesel engine, the Fintec 1440 is carried on a manoeuvrable tracked undercarriage and incorporates a Sandvik PR301D impactor with a fluid clutch drive. Fed via a two-deck pre-screen, the crusher is a four hammer open-style rotor with a pair of hydraulically-adjustable impact curtains that together deliver high outputs in materials including granite, slate, limestone, brick and asphalt. A relatively low weight and compact dimensions – the unit has an operating weight of 49.8 tonnes and is 15.5 metres in length in transport configuration - means the Fintec 1440 is transportable in a single load, allowing it to be readily moved and redeployed for maximum utilisation.

Mobile Screening

The new Fintec 1440 will be joined on the MTS stand by a Fintec 542 track-mounted mobile screen. The 542 is a robust, highly durable machine that is designed specifically for the recycling and contractor markets. Powered by a Cat 3054C water-cooled diesel with an Engine Shut Down Protection System, the machine is carried on a heavy-duty tracked undercarriage and incorporates a large capacity two-bearing screenbox with increased screening angle built into the bottom deck. Together with a large screening surface area and long throw on the screenbox, this delivers enhanced screening efficiency and throughput. The machine’s belt feeder is fitted with a radio controlled tipping reject grid as standard, while a folding access walkway around the screenbox provides easy maintenance access. Galvanised moving parts and an oven-baked two-pack paint finish protect the machine from abrasion and corrosion, making it ideally suited to applications in sand, gravel, limestone, coal, soils, ores and construction and demolition waste.
