Mounting vibrating motors in a shake out

Posted in: , on 9. Apr. 2008 - 14:00

hi all,

I'm doing a shakeout for shaking the molds in a foundry, I have a table and a discharge hopper under it, my question is :

**how to mount the two vibrating motors in the discharge hopper, should I mounting them inclined taking the shape of the discharge hopper (the vibrating hoppers are AEG and are used so I don't know if its ok to be inclined or not), or I fix them horizontally, if that the case should I put them in a shelf that is attached to the hopper or what and the transmission of the vibrations will be ok.

**how I calculate the distance from the top point in the hopper and the center of the vibrating motor.

Thanks and please reply

Check the following link:

http://www.vibtec.com/catalogue.htm

Go to Electric vibrators/Standard rotary vibrators (Type MVSI)

This is a pdf file on their products. On the third page it has some information on selecting and mounting vibrators on hoppers. I hope this is what you are looking for.

Thanks
