Shanghai, China, November 2007 - Anhydro, the world's primary supplier of liquid concentration and powder processing solutions and dewatering plants and equipment, has opened an office in Shanghai to offer first-class technical expertise and service to the fast growing China market.
The official opening date of Anhydro’s China Branch is May 17, 2007 – new setup as it appears; the actual presence of Anhydro in China dated back to decades ago. Reflecting China’s position as a world’s major machinery importer, the Company has been an active provider of drying and evaporation equipment and related services for various industries in China since the early 60s of last century. Operating from the new Shanghai office, Anhydro is now equipped with full capacity to market the complete line of Anhydro Group product solutions to serve both current and potential customers within the dairy&food, beverage, ethanol, starch, pharmaceutical, chemical, alcohol and brewery industries in China.
“It is definitely favorable to be part of a well-known International group; moreover, a local presence has many advantages and meets the market’s psychological appeals, too. All marketing efforts gain extra weights and are more effective when local customers can contact a local office speaking their own language,” said Michael Oesterle, the General Manager of Anhydro China. “China’s market today is demanding state-of-the-art technology in order to produce products that follow international standards at the lowest possible lifetime cycle costs. Both the Chinese and the international customers expect to have local process experts and service engineers available within easily reachable distance from their sites to secure a seamless production over a long time.”
Anhydro China has been staffed with a strong sales and engineering team, supported by individual centers of excellence in Starch and Ethanol, Industrial and Pharmaceutical and Dairy and Food. Recently, the joint efforts of Anhydro China’s project team and the Head Office’s technical support resulted in Anhydro China’s new milestone obtained in the local dairy market, which is to set up a strategic cooperation with China’s major dairy-based nutritional producer, Synutra International Inc. (NASDAQ), in various projects to come. In addition, Anhydro has been awarded the contract from a world-leading polymer producer, who has decided to upgrade its production in China with the world’s largest spray dryer for PVAC construction polymers. The Company is expecting to carry on with this newly accumulated momentum and to drive their initiatives further to obtain greater success in the years to come.
