Bulk Material Distribution

who can advise the best way for distributing material from one source to two hoppers , noting that the distance between the hoppers more than 40 meters.

there should be no losses in transportation. The material particle size start from 1 mm up to 70 mm.

What is the rate? Material properties? Is the initial feed point on grade below hopper height, elevation equal to hopper height, or above?

Pneumatic is not preferred due to size.

Does the hoppers neeed to be fed simutaneously or one and then the other?

We would expect you have already explored various options and have come to the forum for something new. Why not describe in a little more detail what you already explored:

1. If small rate, can the product be split at grade and then elevated via small bucket elevators to top of hoppers while using hopper wall for support? Therefore no cross structure.

2. Bifurcate product before elevating or bifurcate after elevating

3. Feed to primary hopper and then either discharge direct or pass to second hopper by elevated conveyor. Then the second conveyor is only used on demand oe is half size, if fed equally

4. Feed to central point from grade and then bifurcate to either or both at top of hopper elevation. One elevating conveyor and then two equal and opposite short horizontal conveyors

5. and so forth.....

It would not be prudent to elevated to gravity feed

Yeh, I get your meaning (pun).

If the rate is large he could try a Dos Santos Snake, depending on the capacity of the hopper and bottom cone dimension. However, we know so little, so the response is futile.
