Hi Dears.

I want to know that is it possible to replace a 84 inch apron feeder with a the same width belt feeder?

the height of column of copper or (stockpile) is nearly 40m with a

cross area of 12 square meter. the direct pressure is high and

meterial are lumpy .(max 12 inches).(bulk density:1.8 )

The travel speed is 10 to 30 fpm.

Is it possible for a belt feeder to tolerate this pressure and can we start it with this condition?

I would be very thanks ful if send me as soon as possible.

Hi Dears.

I want to know is it possible to replace a 84 inch apron feeder with the same width belt feeder?

the height of column of copper or (stockpile) is nearly 40m with a

cross area of 8.1 square meter. the direct pressure is high and

meterial (copper ore)are lumpy .(max 12 inches).(bulk density:1.8 )

The travel speed is 10 to 30 fpm.

Is it possible for a belt feeder to tolerate this pressure and can we start it with this condition?

apron feeder details:

Apron feeder capacity is about 850 tph to 1180 tph (max)

The height of material is 70 to 80 cm.(at exit point)

The openning slot dimention is (4.87*1.66m) on apron feeder(under the copper ore stockpile).

I would be very thanks ful if send me as soon as possible.

Maybe. First we need to see your details on tonnage, properties, slot configuration and exit height.

My guess is the skirt configuration can be adjusted.

Dear Mr . Babaklucky,

Are you installing below the bunker? If so what is the capacity of the same. Your lump size is also too high. I donot recomend belt feeder instead.

I have provided 2000 t/h belt feeders instead of apron feeders handling blasted copper ore, from 240 ton haulers (trucks) to the primary crusher. These were very successful but the heaviness of the belting, live shaft (lagged) rollers and structure would surprise you. I am confident that your proposition is possible.

Mr. babaklucky,

I mentioned my design of much heavier belt feeders than you require, to handle blasted ore, to feed a primary gyratory crusher at 2000 t/h. With the same technology we later designed a feeder similar to the one you require, at what was Cyprus Sierrita, in Arizona. This later system was under the primary gyratory crusher and handled copper ore of the size range that you mention. The design did pay close attention to the skirt throat design and also utilized pin gate rods to mitigate head load. Such a design is very reasonable for your requirements. Such a system has proven to be more economical than the apron feeder.
