Pneumatic conveying

Good day all,

I would like to include a number of books on "pneumatic conveying" into our company library.

Does anybody know of any good "distance learning courses" (correspondance / web-cast).

References to articles etc., especially in the field of the handling of plastics would also be greatly appreciated. Also, calculation procedures for both dense phase and lean phase conveying.

Any recomendations?

Powder and Bulk Engineering has sponsored a number of web cast seminars on many aspects of pneumatic conveying.

You can obtain copies of all those webcasts as wel as the series of articles called Pneumatic Points to Ponder wich have been published quarterly for nearly 20 years

They also deal in all aspects of pneumatic conveying and related subjects

Must Have Pneumatic Conveying Books

Two books that I consider as "must have" for a library are:

Pneumatic Conveying of Solids by Marcus, Leung, Klinzing, and Rizk.

Pneumatic Conveying Design Guide by David Mills.

Gentlemen,

Thank you for your valued response.

I already have the excellent book by David Mills, and will most certainly order the other book.

As I am based in Iran, a number of web searches and web casts are blocked. When I get back to South Africa (another ". . Land of the Free . . ."), I will download what I can.

Pnuamatic Handling Hand Books

dear all

can any body suggest me that which book is better for me for pnuamatic handling (dense phase) and where it is available and caliculations and methods to be followed for these caliculations

i need the format of caliculation such a way that

the inputs required for caliculate pressure needed and volume of air needed to pnuamatic handling are

1.density of material

2.moisture content

3.temparature

4.pipe size

5.conveying length

6.number of bends required

any relative formula is there to caliculate the above?
