English Courses

Posted in: , on 31. Jul. 2007 - 18:21

As an engineer with over 20 years experience in wear management now reborn as an English Teacher living in France I would like to take the opportunity to let the forum users know of our services.

We provide English training and support with a heavy emphasis on Technical and Business English.

What makes us unique is that the courses are delivered using a secure fully interactive Virtual Classroom. You can take lessons when you want and from wherever you want provided you have a broadband Internet connection.

Moreover, you can choose (or change) your teacher and the Virtual Classroom allows you to work together on documents, presentations etc in real time.

You could, for example,

- update your English CV

- prepare and practice a conference paper or presentation

- review the English version of your Website

- prepare for that important meeting tomorrow

....or simply practice and improve your English!

Thank you for your interest. Kind regards, Rob Marshall & the MET team

Hi Marcelo

Thank you for your interest. The lessons take place in a "virtual classroom" where you can both see and talk to your teacher as well as collaborate on and share documents.

In fact it is the interactive document sharing which is the most innovative part of our learning system. As I said before you can work on lesson material provided by the teacher but you could also work with the teacher on material of your choice - a report you need to write in English; a business letter or email; a conference presentation etc...The possibilities are almost limitless.

Another important feature is the fact that you can choose (or change) your teacher whenever you want. Our teacher's are all qualified and experienced English teachers but they also have different specialities - business, law, engineering etc... You can select a teacher who is most suitable for your needs.

You need a broadband internet connection of at least 1Mbs download speed and a headset to be able to talk to you teacher.

Your teacher will have a webcam so you will see him or her throughout the lesson but obviously your teacher won't be able to see you if you don't have a webcam yourself. This is not essential but it does help to make the lesson more interesting.

You can find more information on www.my-english-teacher.com or www.i2i-linguistics.com where you can see the teachers' profiles.

If you would like a demonstration or more information then you can contact us via the www.my-english-teacher.com website. (click "Get in Touch" on the home page).
