Applications Engineer, Trainee

Requires engineering degree and 0-1 year of experience

My Client has an immediate opportunity for a degreed engineer trainee. We intend to train and develop the candidate that we select.

This position will be based in our headquarters office located in Montgomery, IL with frequent visits to Coal Burning Utility Power Plants throughout the US.

The successful candidate supplies analysis and will propose engineering solutions for dust mitigation systems and develops comprehensive proposals for projects requiring the company’s products.

•Develops comprehensive proposals for projects requiring the company’s products. These proposals include design, fabrication and installation timelines, costs and pricing.

•Identifies customer problem or task to be accomplished; reviews specifications and determines specific component that are required to accomplish the task.

•Prepares estimates and is required to meet budget constraints. Provides system designs and engineering configuration details to meet requirements

•Provides product proposals, including text, pricing, preliminary design details and drawings

•Researches new products to incorporate into system designs

•Periodically monitors in-field testing of new systems

•Performs additional projects and activities as may from time to time be required.

Requirements

Required Education: BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemic al Engineering is the minimum equipment for this position.

Required experience: A fully qualified candidate will have at least 0-1 year of industrial equipment experience in a design or technical support/service environment.

Candidates must have the Ability to operate / use:

Multimeter

General Office Equipment

Personal Computer

Candidates must be able to drive a motor vehicle to airports or to regional customer sites, use and operate general test and measurement instruments and personal computer software, (Excel, Word, MS Project).

Travel ranges from zero overnight travel to 3-4 overnights per week. The average overnight travel is 2-3 nights per week.

Training

This company will offer training for further qualification for this position and others in the company by working with design engineers and sales personnel as well as ample managerial guidance. Candidates will be offered formal appraisals and developmental assignments over their first year of employment

A base starting salary of up to $52,000 per year will be offered as well as rapid advancement in pay for exceptional performance. This position is eligible to participate in an annual cash incentive program as well.

The company will conduct background investigations and drug screening of candidates for employment.
