-Gentlman, Please provide following details/information to give logical answer of your enquiry--

1.Location of warehouse from the railway line to warehouse.

2.Dimensions of bottom opening of railway wagon, size of railway wagon.

3 Size and type of warehouse.

4. Capacity to be conveyed.

Generally, there is pit under the railway line in which the material is discharged from the wagons and then conveyed to the warehouse with the help of vibratory feeders, bucket elevator and conveyors ect. You can convey the material pnuematically also, in this case the power requirement shall be more. If,you want us to design the layout and the system please revert us back,we will design the entire system from wagon unloading point to warehouse .

Dear Mr. Marco,

Earlier respondent has already given the useful information. The type and recommendation about the system depends upon following two considerations :

1) The unloading rate tonnes / hour

2) The system operation in a moth or year : The system to be installed also depends upon the operating hours in one year or month. This means if you are likely to use the system say once in a fortnight or once in a month, then economic considerations dictate that it should be cheapest type of system from investment point of view. However, if you are going to operate it for say 15 days in a month, then it could be costly and different type of system.

The overall system will also depend upon whether you will be handling only one type of grain or different types of grains, their storage facility and the mode / frequency of dispatch, etc.
