At the TOTAL Processing and Packaging Show, in Hall 4 on Stand No. 4015, Flexicon (Europe) Ltd., will be exhibiting the revolutionary SWING-DOWN™ bulk bag filler . It features a pivot-down fill head that enables the operator to connect empty bags at floor level and resume filling operations rapidly, eliminating the need to climb steps, strain to reach overhead connection points or risk injury associated with the operation of conventional bulk bag fillers.
It is constructed of carbon steel with durable industrial finish or stainless steel finished to industrial, food, dairy or pharmaceutical standards and is offered with material delivery systems integrated with upstream process equipment or other material source.
Also alongside will be a working DILUTE PHASE PNEUMATIC CONVEYING SYSTEM. Utilising downstream vacuum transfer, it will demonstrate the efficient transfer of material from the hopper, entering the system via an upstream rotary air-lock valve into a 5mtr high, vertical pipeline and exiting the system via the filter receiver. At the point of discharge into a process line the system will be rigged to re-cycle the raw material through the hopper for continuous flow.
In their own custom designed Test Laboratory Flexicon can verify system performance using customer supplied bulk materials, prior to final equipment design and fabrication. This validates major investment in new equipment and its performance capability prior to, as well as after, commissioning.
