Rail Discharge

I am interested in the discharge rate of 80 tonne coal wagons using a rotary coupler system. I am specifically looking at a railway line in China that uses 80 tonne wagons to make up 10,000 gross tonne trains. I do not have exact details of the system in use except that the cars are NOT bottom opening and that a rotary coupler is used.

Does anyone have an idea as to roughly how long it would take to discharge such a train?

Rotary Car Dumper

Greetings

Rotary Car Dumpers are an excellent method of dealing with large volumes of bulk material.

We are pleased to offer (2) Surplus Rotary Car Dumpers. The first is an Unused Tandem Car Dumper. Rated at 52 cars/hr.

The second is a slightly smaller package and comes with a fixed luffing/slewing stacker. The first used at a Port location, the second at a Power Plant site.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Thanks for the resdponse.

Is the larger unit designed for a specific size rail wagon?

Do you have any sketches or literature on the larger unit?

Dear Mr. Xinhua,

You have already some responses. Also, there are certain well-known manufacturers for this type of system. I suggest you to write to them and you may get certain information or proposals for the wagon unloading system you are looking for. As a rule, I do not mention / recommend the name of manufacturers in forums.
