Venturi Loader

I am trying to come up with a system of loading an ag trailer from a heap of grain, typically wheat. It must have a capacity of 60mt /h and have a pipe to go off to the heap. It must be light weight so that it can be carried with the load without affecting the gross weight and will be driven from a pto. The idea i have come up with is a venturi design which can be dumped into the heap with other venturis in line to keep the material moving. and then the material simply comes to the end of the tube and into the trailer.

It is because of the weight that i was not following the cyclone based system and am following the positive pressure system.

Has anyone ever done anything like this before? if so great what advice would you give and if not then do you fancy a chalenge!

Any help would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

A few comments:

Venturi's are feed / gas flow generating devices and cyclones are separation devices so using one doesn't mean that you can't use the other.

Cyclones aren't particularly heavy pieces of equipment so I don't understand why you particularly want to avoid them.

If you don't use a cyclone or simialr at the end of your line you will have quite high dust levels in the exhaust from your system.

Assuming I have understood what you are proposing, 60 te/hr is a very high rate for this type of system, i think you are being optimistic.

There are a number of companbies who supply fans, blowers, cyclones, ducting, venturi's etc. as standard products and you can relatively cheaply put together a package to prove your concept.

Some of these companies also put the package together to carry out the duty you are looking for and may be interested in working with you to develop your concept to suit their equipment. Kongskilde is one company who supply equipment and packages of this type.
