Feed Splitter After Cyclone

Posted in: , on 29. Aug. 2006 - 00:48

Does anyone know a manufacturer for feed splitters? I am looking for a feed splitter after a cyclone and rotary airlock to evenly distribute feed to 2 screeners at about 5,000 lbs per hour. The beads are spherical and about 380 microns in mediam bead size.

Thanks.

A fabrication with an adjustable center plate is all you really need unless you are looking for a significantly accurate level of split.

If your accuracy requirements are not less than +/- 1%, you may consider using two identical rotary valves under the cyclone. Rotary valves should be flood-fed by maintaining a material level in the cyclone and should have variable speed drives to allow speed adjustment. Run the rotary valves at the same speed, with speed and the level switch interlocked to maintain a constant level in the cyclone. Feed rate from each rotary valve will be = bulk density x valve displacement.
