Huck Bolting

No biggie.

You can start at one end and go to the other. The huck bolts unlike standard grade 5 or 8 hardware is automatically tensioned with the HUCK GUN TOOL.

Even torque values every time you install one and the extensison is snapped off after tightening is finished. SIMPLE

nOW, if you had people using wrenches you must be careful, BIG GUYS tighten more than SMALL GUYS. the first bolts put in are tighter than the last bolts put in.

If no TORQUE WRENCH used.........it tis a TURKEY SHOOT on even torque values.

"Tightness ....so everything runs as ONE is the KEY"

Hii Mr.George.

But suppose the initial hardware used to assemble the machine is no torque tightened and we remove them one by one to replace them with huck bolts, are we not going to twist the whole machine as its not really necessary that the bolt will tighted in the centre of the drillhole.

Sandeep: if you started with all NON huck bolts, it really is no problem UNLESS, the non huck bolt hardware LOOSENED off when vibrating and oversized the bolt holes.

If you put HUCKS to replace a hole that is OVERSIZED...the huck bolt will last longer....but, it will move and cause cracking of the sidewalls or sideplates.

IF YOU find the holes have worked oversized, irregular shaped, or oblong you MUST REPLACE THE SIDEWALLS to holes with the proper REAM FIT type of tolerance.

...................

Many people have HUCK BOLTED machines, lose one huck for whatever reason......and ask if okay to install standard GRADE 5 OR GRADE 8 NC hardware and the answer is yes.....but, it must be to the PROPER TORQUE VALUE for that size of hardware.
