New sales base in Italy guarantees optimum customer support

The large market potential of the Italian market for environmental and waste management technologies is characterised by continuously increasing demand for granulation and briquetting techniques for the processing of wood, plastics and alternative fuels. Increasing raw material costs additionally make the processing of waste from production economically interesting, for example, in the plastics and wood industries. These current developments have encouraged WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH of Ilsfeld, Germany, one of the leading producers of granulation and briquetting technology, to open a new sales base in Udine, Italy.

The new WEIMA office in Udine enables direct support of the Italian market, a market that continues to develop dynamically. The Italian-speaking staff have extensive know-how and guarantee competent and close local support. Proven technologies can therefore be easily adapted to specific customer requirements. A completely equipped technical department enables trials with customers’ own materials at short notice and at any time. After-Sales-Service is in particular optimally guaranteed by the new subsidiary and the Italian service engineers.

WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH, Ilsfeld, has been constructing granulating machinery for more than 20 years for the widest range of different tasks, such as for customers in the plastics, wood and recycling industries throughout the world. The company employs approx. 200 staff and possesses its own sales locations in France, United Kingdom, and America, as well being represented by more than 50 agencies worldwide. The production programme includes single, double and four-shaft granulators, cutting mills, briquetting presses and plants, including also ancillary equipment.

Das große Marktpotential des italienischen Marktes für Umwelt- und Abfallbehandlungstechnologien wird charakterisiert durch die stetig steigenden Nachfragen nach Zerkleinerungs- und Brikettiertechniken zur Aufbereitung von Holz, Kunststoffen und Ersatzbrennstoffen.
