TECHINT PUT IN OPERATION THE GIANT STACKER FOR CVRD (BRAZIL).
TECHINT TECHNOLOGIES obtained a further positive achievement with CVRD Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, the world leading mining group.
Techint Business Unit Material Handling reached the Provisional Acceptance Certificate for the “giant” Boom Stacker for the mine of Carajas (Patio-C).
This turnkey realization was part of CVRD plan to increase the productivity of the biggest iron-ore mine in the world, currently set at 80Mt/year.
The new stacker is able to stack iron ore at a nominal flow rate of 11,000 t/h and at a design capacity of 13,200 t/h.
The boom length of this machine is 46 m, supporting a 2,200 mm wide conveyor; able to form a 44 m wide and 20 m height stockpile of iron ore.
A conveyor line of almost 1 km length, necessary to feed the Stacker, is an integral part of the project performed by Techint.
Through this project TECHINT is strengthening its worldwide leadership as specialized supplier of material handling equipment and systems of large capacity.
