IMDG: this may be covered by UN classification/certification; you will need to display the Marine Pollutant diamond in addition to the ADR markings. ■

ADR markings are a series of diamond shaped posters which tell observers what the contents are generally classified as, flammable gas, corrosive liquid, radioactive : there are 9 classes; yours is corrosive liquid. These diamonds must be displayed on all sides, 3 at least.

Additionally you will have to display an information board showing the UN substance number; 4 digits, accident safety procedure; 2 or 3 letters, contact telephone number.

For multimodal transport, yours is, you will have to show the Marine Pollutant marker, white diamond with a fish in the middle.

Your tank must be fully certified as a UN package, same as a bottle, if it is a general purpose tank then it will need a pressure vessel plate.

No reputable tank manufacturer would neglect these affairs. If he can build a tank which will stand the pressure test then the other classifications should be a formality. I don't think the lining integrity is covered by pressure vessel codes, but I've been wrong before. You should ask the manufacturer for a guarantee to cover it. ■
