For R.C.C silos :

Some years ago, I was involved in installing equipment in some RCC silos of 9600 tons each and a 6 compartment silo of 1000 tons per compartment for cement

Inverse cone silo :

height cement column = 40 meters

diameter silo = 15 meters

silo compartment:

height cement column = 27 meter

"diameter" = 6.5 meter

Up till today they have never been cleaned inside and perform well.

The relation between height and dia. can be given in the case of steel and conc. silos when they have cylindrical shapes but the same will not work in the case of dome silos. Do you want this data for your acadamic purpose or for one of your projects.We have designed silos from 100 T CAP TO 30.000 T of various shapes like inverted cone,flat bottom,inclined bottom,dome shape ect.

Up to 3000 t cap.you can go for steel,but I will recommend R.C.C for this size .

For rest of the size your goodself will have to go for R.C.C construction.

The different sizes you have mentioned in a plant will not be a good idea. You will never see various size of silos in any plant as mentioned by your goodself.
