Dear Sir,

Egyptian Cement Company - ECC - located at 93Km Kattamia Rd. Suez, Egypt, calls for a selective tender to make the Engineering design of a clinker storage terminal to be located at Dameitta Port.

ECC objective is to construct a clinker storage facility with a life capacity of 30'000 tons clinker and to be operating within 6 months after approving your offer and signing the contract. Your role, Scope of Work, is to generate an offer comprising all engineering works necessary, design of civil, steel, mechanical, electrical and instrumentations designs, and imported deliveries to construct a clinker storage/terminal bearing in mind all technical specifications and constraints listed below. These are as follows:

Clinker Storage Capacity demanded 30'000 tons.

Output from storage demanded 800-1000 tons per hour transfer conveying system to Dameitta port berth.

Input to storage, filling rate, demanded 400-500 tons per hour unloading / feeding system.

Distance from storage to Dameitta port berth is about 120 meters.

No Restrictions had been made for the proposed layout.

Bulk Trucks or so called silo trucks, ECC property, to feed the flat storage. Each Silo truck carries between 35 to 50 tons, average 45 tons per truck.

One of your design criteria is that your design meets EEAA standards; i.e.: design complies with international safety standards.

Flat Clinker storage should comprise appropriate dedusting system and ventilation system to hinder any dust dissipations into surrounding air.

Labor power and maintenance works should be as minimum as possible during operation works. Your design of equipment should be almost maintenance free.

A system of unloading from silo trucks is needed to evacuate them, to reach 400-500-t/hr.

You are kindly requested to submit your initial proposal for the design and system arrangement, and once we agreed upon, you will be requested to formulate a lump sum tender, currency in Dollars or Euros, comprising the complete engineering of the clinker storage terminal. We expect your initial proposal not later than Calendar WEEK #10.

However, your complete and final offer should comprise the following items:

1. Breakdown of Imported equipment technical specifications and prices.

2. Alternative designs, if any.

3. Proposed local equipment and parts, i.e.: steel structures that may be found in local market.

4. supervision on erection, commissioning and testing of all works included in this facility prices.

5. A complete plan for detailed engineering works, local and imported manufacturing, delivery to site location and erection works prior to commissioning.

6. Any experience from your side in synonym facilities for eligibility purposes.
