Techint Technologies material handling equipment successfully started up in Indonesia

Techint Technologies, Italy has successfully started up two 1500 tph capacity grab ship unloaders and two 1500 tph stacker reclaimers at the Tanjung Jati B Coal Fired Power Plant, located near Jepara in Indonesia.

The final Performance Test has been passed on last February 24, 2006 after reaching all the contractual parameters in terms of rated capacity, unloading cycles (for grab unloaders) and power consumption. The two ship unloaders have an outreach of 35 m, a rope load of 30 t and can unload ships up to 70.000 DWT. The two stacker/reclaimers have a boom length of 40 m, a stacking capacity of 1500 tph and a reclaim capacity of 1000 tph.

The contract, signed in 1997 with Black and Veatch and frozen during the Indonesian financial crisis, represents a remarkable success based upon Techint know-how, high quality and reliability always granted by Techint.
