I once fitted a hollow shaft hydraulic motor to a conveyor shaft with a shrink disc. Then we wanted to use the motor on another job. "Can't undo the bolts" said the fitter, "well hacksaw through them" I said. "Done that" said the fitter, "still can't get the motor off". We ended up cutting the shaft off and machining a lot of it away so we could reuse the motor.

Made me think shaft mounts are fine as long as I'm not asked to take them off some time in the future! ■

What is your application and why are you not using a hydraulic motor chain driven gear box for this?????????? ■
