I have a problem with pipe conveyor.I am using conveyor for lifting spray dried granules from ground to 18 m elevation. The bulk density of product increases a lot after the transfer and affects the quality of product.

Pipe dia 400 mm.; Blower used is of 25 hp. I am not in position to increse diameter of pipe.

Can somebody will guide me in this problem?

Pneumatic Troubles

Hello Dattatraya and greetings from the soon to be frozen "Eastern Wilderness" @1140 feet above mean sea level.

I think you problem is very easy to solve.

If you can reduce the amount of material(your product) being fed to the blower pipe and you should have no more trouble. If that does not

help perhaps a booster blower should be

considered.

Option 2 is the use of smaller diameter belt pulleys on the blower and or electric motor-assuming it is an electric motor-it can be done with a diesel motor also.

This will increase the rpm of the blower-but you should consult a blower distributor or the manufacturer of the blower to be sure the increased "Revolutions Per Minute" are attainable with the blower frame.

If your product is animal feed it will gain weight from moisture very quickly so you should consider that also in your thinking -the booster blower would definitely be the solution here.
