Lafarge North America, Ravena , New York – Lafarge North America has recently contracted with Loesche America, Inc. to install an LSKS Classifier Upgrade for their Raymond 753 mill located at their plant in Ravena, New York. In addition, Loesche America, Inc. will install five classifiers on the existing Raymond mills located at the company’s Alpena, Michigan Plant. These dynamic classifiers will allow both plants to considerably improve product fineness resulting in an increase in the overall efficiency at both facilities.

Lehigh Portland Cement Company, Leeds, Alabama – Loesche America, Inc. will be installing a Loesche LSKS High Efficiency Classifier to the existing cement raw mill (LM 28.4) at Lehigh Portland Cement Company in Leeds, Alabama. The classifier along with auxiliary equipment which includes a rotary valve, rocker arm upgrade and lubrication unit will allow the plant to improve their overall grinding capacity. This project represents the second Loesche classifier installation on one of Lehigh's raw mills, the first installation took place in 2003 at the Lehigh Southwest Cement Company in Tehachapi, California.

Customer Quote

"We are very pleased with the performance of the Loesche classifier which was installed on our coal mill in February 2005. It started up flawlessly and has run that way ever since. We are consistently producing a product in excess of 96% passing 200 mesh at production rates above what was guaranteed. The start-up support we received from Loesche America's technical personnel was also excellent."

- John Laney, Plant Manager of Cemex Inc., Demopolis, Alabama
