We have a 6 hour training class for belt conveyors called Foundations. The class teaches the following:
Spillage sources
Belt damages such as cupping, camber, Junction Joint failure, etc
Selecting the correct belt conveyor
How to increase the life of the belt
Belt tracking causes and cures
How to effectively clean a belt
How to seal a transfer point
This can be customized to match each site. ■

Training: Coal Handling Plants
Dear Mr. Reinhard H. Wohlbier
Thanks for giving us information from time to time on the developments in bulk solids technologies. We find the information very useful.
We are at present running 14 thermal power stations totalling 18420 MW. We consume about 95 million MT of coal every year. In order to unload and feed this amount of coal we have installed Coal Unloading and Coal handling Plants at our end.
About 35-40% of this is ash which is to be evacuated from Bottom Ash Hoppers/ESPs. The manpower required for maintenance and operation of the Coal handling Plants is trained at manufacturers works. Since we are using a number of imported equipment we would like to get them trained in reputed manufacturers of material handling equipment, operation and maintenance of Coal Handling Plants/Ash Handling Plants of thermal power stations situated in USA/UK/Australia along with Latest energy efficient technologies in these areas.
We would like to know whether you organise such training modules in Coal Handling Plants, Ash Handling Plants? If, so please furnish us complete
details of such programmes.
