Determining Belt Length
I hate to pour a bucket of ice water on you quest but the simple way is best.
Retract the screw tensioner to its minimum and measure the entire distance with nylon twine in the center of the belt idlers for the entire distance of belt travel by going around the head
pulley, drive pulleys, idlers and tail pulley then measure the twine length. You stil have not told us a whole lot so this is my best answer.

Hi, friends,
The formula is: (in the case when two main drums are with equal diameter)
Lb = 2 * La + D * pi
Lb - the belt length
La - distance between the drums
D - diameter of the drums
If the drums are with different diamaters (D1 and D2) the formula is:
Lb = 2*La + 0.5*D1 *pi+ 0.5 *D2* pi
The mechanism for making belt tension must be flabby.

In this case (on the picture) is complicated a little bit to make the formula. But more complikated is to know exactly measurements from construction of belt bed...
Do you know distance between drums? So, in that case is possible (with calculator) to know lenght of belt.

Belt length calculation?
Hi everybody...I've been looking for a formula that can calculate the length of a 20" flat belt for a multiple pulley/roller conveyor bed.
The conveyor beds vary as to how many rollers and pulleys it consists of. Usually just a tail & nose roller, 2 tracking rollers, screw take-up, drive pulley, and a snub roller.
Any information would be much appreciated.
