BEUMER high capacity packaging line for the Knauf Engineering company
The Knauf Engineering company placed the order for a BEUMER high capacity palletizer BEUMER paletpac® and a stretch film packaging machine BEUMER stretch hood® S which shall be installed in the Rottleberode works of the company Knauf Deutsche Gipswerke KG.
The task demands to ensure a gentle palletizing of the bags and furthermore to achieve a proper stacking pattern at high capacity. Some of the products to be palletized cannot be turned as others without any difficulties at the torsion bar.
First the bags are transported to the palletizer BEUMER paletpac® via a short feeding section with a bag flattener, which presses surplus air out of the bags. The BEUMER paletpac® achieves the demanded capacity of 2.400 bags/hour at 5-bonded pattern, 2.600 bags/hour at 10-bonded pattern. When realising the system configuration the customer’s requirements have been considered int the system’s equipment.
The bag flow is separated by a guide plate bag distributor. Two clamp turning devices being installed side by side as well as double spacing and layer configuration and stacking pattern. The installed double slide gate is frequency-controlled and ensures an operation treating the bags especially gently as well as high efficiently due to the soft start-up.
Then the pallet stacks are transported via a full pallet transport system to the stretch film packaging machine BEUMER stretch hood® S and are packaged at the demanded capacity of 75 pallets/hour.
