VERSATILE PENNSYLVANIA COALPACTOR SIZES COAL, OTHER SOLID FUELS FOR FLUIDIZED BED BOILER AND INDUSTRIAL POWER PLANTS
Broomall, PA, (June 30, 2005): Power plants are increasingly turning to an updated model of a proven coal crusher, the Pennsylvania® Coalpactor®. This equipment performs high efficiency crushing of coal, petroleum coke, and waste coals such as bituminous gob or anthracite culm. It delivers coal at the lowest cost-per-ton crushed, at high reduction ratios and high capacities, while using less horsepower compared to other models.
Coalpactors crush mainly by impact and incorporate progressively smaller clearances between the breaking elements. This produces excellent control over output size while creating minimum fines; a typical output size is 95% minus 6mm. In addition, this model readily handles high moisture content material.
A wide range of adjustments enables rapid changes to output size or to compensate for normal wear. Its rotor is reversible so that the user can balance the wear between two complete sets of breaker plate assemblies and maintain hammers at maximum sharpness.
The Coalpactor’s numerous models and sizes make it adaptable to many applications. Available rotor lengths range from 40” (1000mm) to 103” (2616mm), with machine weights of 10,000 lbs (4,588 kg) to 89,000 lbs (40,370 kg).
