Sand Screening

Erstellt am 29. Jun. 2005 - 12:45

Greetings, from the "Frozen Eastern wilderness" @ 1140 feet above mean sea level.

What are you screening in total? You have not told us much, are you screening crushed rock or bank run gravel? Is your plant stationary or portable?

As a rule most screens that scren gravel for sand have a sand screw that is fed from the bottom of the screen assembly ands the sand is washed and moved at the same time by the auger with newer screens.

tell us more please.

Sand Classification

Bonjour: Thankyou for your question:

QUESTION WAS: you want to remove 0-315 microns fraction from your sand pit operation. (around 50 MESH) (.0139") correct?

To answer correctly, I need some more info please:

1. Please give me FEED material GRADATION

2. dry or wet screening?

3. Advise TPH needed to process

4. Advise your product SPECIFICATION range: 100% PASSING 50 MESH.....like a GOLF COURSE or SANDBLAST SAND ?

5. Percentage of minus 200 mm or dirt?

.....................................

A possible solution without more information is to go from WET SCREEN into a FINE SCREW ...........to pull out the 100 MESH then put over a HIGH FREQUENCY screener to pull the plus minus 50 MESH material out of it.

....................................

YOU will not be able to do this on one piece of equipment like a WET SCREEN..........or with a SAND CLASSIFICATION TANK by itself

Dear George,

Yes we want to remove 0-315 microns fraction from our sand pit operation. You will find the info required:

1) the feed gradation is:

Screen apart. % passing

10 mm 100.0

5 mm 100.0

2.5 mm 99.3

1.25 mm 96.6

0.63 mm 88.3

0.32 mm 57.3

0.16 mm 9.9

0.08 mm 1.8

2) Dry or wet screening is not important. Which one would be the most efficient? The screening unit must be portable.

3) No TPH figure at this moment. We expect to process 10,000 to 20,000 TPY.

4) the product specification range must be:

screen apart. % passing

10 mm 100.0

5 mm 95-100

2.5 mm 80-100

1.25 mm 50-90

0.63 mm 25-65

0.32 mm 10-35

0.16 mm 2-10

0.08 mm ---

Please do you know a contractor able to do the job in Canada? Where can I find informations (website) about wet screening, fine screw, high frequency screener, sand classification thank...

Regards,

Andre
