The equations and steps presented in the article are really straight forward.
Am looking forward to apply them to design my required pneumatic system.
If the pressure drop due to friction between the solids and
the conveying pipeline is not considered, does it affect the total pressure drop considerably?
Actually i am designing a pneumatic conveying system for textile fibre ( mainly dried wool fibre ).
If anyone has Friction factor for wool, can they please share it. Actually no laboratory equipments are available to me to carry out tests and find it.. ■

Now I'm trying to research about pneumatic conveying of 'wet and granular sawdust' (I can't explain in other way) and the article is a great boost on it.
