MAGNETIC LID SUPPLY INSTALLATION FOR VARIOUS DIAMETERS
At Interpack 2005, Goudsmit Magnetic Systems B.V. from Waalre will present its magnetic lid supply installation (Hall 14, stand D09). This installation feeds lids to a fully automatic filling/closing machine that fills cans with powdery foodstuffs. By using this lid supply installation multiple closing machines can be serviced from one central point (for example the lid buffer). This saves storage space as well as precious hours involved in restocking the lid buffer again and again. Moreover, the recently reengineered line of magnetic lids is furnished with adjustable distribution and buffer units, which can handle lids of various diameters.
RE-ADJUSTING
Traditional lines of lids are suited for conveying lids of one diameter only. Most filling/closing machines can be readjusted for various lid diameters. As a consequence, however, the entire line of lids usually has to be readjusted as well and provided with a different diameter distribution unit and a different diameter buffer unit. The newly developed line of lids makes readjusting for various diameters simple, saving on costly readjustment operations.The magnetic lid supply installation is provided with a control unit for a fully automated operation (in combination with the filling/closing machine).
The layout can be modified to customer specifications if desired.
OPERATION
The lids or rings are placed in succession on the conveyor belt or in the buffer of the supply installation. Next, two adjustable magnetic sheet separators separate the lids. Then the lift transports the lids/rings to the adjustable lid buffer.
