With the exclusive global distribution rights, Rockster Recycler now offers a precise, reliable method of continuous in-line weighing of all types of conveyed material.
The USMS was developed in cooperation with NASA technicians while giving special thought to performance under difficult operating conditions as are often present in processing and recycling applications. The state-of-the-art ultrasound technology guarantees precise results independent of varying outside influences such as light, dust, or vibration, or environmental conditions such as humidity, heat, cold, and so forth.
The system is designed for both stationary and mobile systems, “a practical tool in every application where precise measurement and evaluation of the volume of conveyed bulk goods is relevant“, states Mr. Feichtinger. The customer can govern all processes in real time to intercept any arising production difficulties, and has progressive, concise performance reports for further evaluation, whether for loading processes (trucks, containers, boxcars, or ships), for downstream process control (mixing and batch plants), or supervision of machine performance.
Three system variations ensure optimum set-up for practically any range of conveyors. The USMS 1 is the basic unit, offering one processor unit and one sensor unit for use on a single conveyor belt. The USMS 2 offers additional connection capacities to serve up to five sensor units from one processor unit - a well-placed investment in view of future expansion with additional conveyor. The USMS 3 is capable of serving a network of up to 250 sensor units with the further advantage of radio transmission, allowing greater flexibility with respect to conveyor location. Additionally, all models are available in varying sizes to accommodate belt widths up to 1500 mm.
The USMS sensor units are equipped with laser controlled ultrasonic sensors which measure the height of the material profile at the rate of 160 times per second. This data is then evaluated and analyzed in combination with true-time belt speed and predetermined belt width. The processor unit displays instantaneous readings of rate and total material flow. Results are logged progressively and can either be printed directly using the built-in printer, saved to an external memory card as a data carrier, or as with the USMS 3, transmitted directly to a connected computer for processing. Printouts display both the total performance as well as the interval performance in order to pinpoint the most effective production times.
All sensitive system elements are enclosed in 100% dust-proof, water-proof aluminum housing. Easy to install and operate.
