John King USA Inc. has just developed and released onto the US market a wholly Polymeric structural plastic conveyor paddle or flight.
The new product allows for the direct attachment of a plastic paddle to the conveyor chain, without the necessity for a welded on or bolted on steel backer plate.
This unique idea provides for several benefits;
• Safety – As with plastic elevator buckets, the polymer flight is non-sparking and has “Memory”, which will allow an obstruction to pass without chain damage.
• Economy – Due to reduced weight and decreased friction the conveyors’ horsepower requirements are lowered.
• Noise – With wholly Polymer construction the structural paddles reduce emitted chain noise.
• Maintenance – Bent or Damaged flights are easily replaced without any significant conveyor dismantling or hot work.
