Hold Cleaning

Dear Sir.

I work of Operation Manager for a sea port in Chile, South America. We serve arround 3 millon tons / year of grains, soya bean, corn, fertilizer, salt, and others bulk products.

The cleaning of holds is an unprofitable activity for ports, we try several times to do it using vacum machines but was same time and not much benefit.

Actually we use same than you, means one or two buldozers to clean the ship holds once the crane grab is not able to operate.

Next year we are planning to give this particular job to a subcontractor in order to keep an ammount of money constantly in our monthly budget.

If you have an other clever solution please let me know.

By the way let me know where your location is.

Many Thanks.

Bottom Cargo Lifting From Hold

Dear Mr. Rekhawar,

In LISCO, they use BOBCAT loader to accumulate bottom cargo at one point & use unloader to take. After that they sweep by manual labour to load cargo to buacket. For pellet & lump ore you have to leave with loader & manuall labour only.

In QASCO also same method is used.
