Deceleration forces for declined conveyors

Hi everybody!

Does somebody know how to calculate the deceleration forces for a regenerative belt conveyor, as well as the braking force?. I've been looking at the CEMA book for belt conveyors, and I found the information for horizontal conveyors, where they take into account only the kinetic energy to calculate the time for deceleration, but I think that for declined conveyors, the potential energy is very important for the calculations as well.

Thank you!

The CEMA method is valid for regenerative conveyors.

A word of warning. Regenerative conveyors are a very different animal to your standard conveyor. I recommend talking to an expert with documented experience in regenerative conveyors before proceeding beyond the roughest of feasability studies.
