MATERIALS HANDLING ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION

Who are we?

Since its inception in 1939, the Materials Handling Engineers' Association (MHEA) has sought to support the technical and commercial interests of UK and overseas companies supplying and using bulk and continuous handling and processing equipment. Currently this involves industries such as thermal power, coal, food, metals and minerals, pharmaceutical, chemical, animal food, grain, derivatives, cement, mining, waste, recycling, bio-energy and bio-mass

Over the last 25 years the MHEA Technical Committee has been active in the production of a wide range of 'Recommended Practice' design and user guides relating to subjects such as belt conveying, belt cleaning, chutes and conveyor chain selection.
