Our yard surfaces are not concreted but they are compacted after removal of loosed top soil and sand wicking has been done to drive out inside moisture.

Now the problem is the Spillover materials gets embedded in the top soil. The Raw Materials get crushed due to movement of Pay loaders as we reclaim by using Pay loaders & Hopper, not rail mounted reclaimers.

The bed height must have increased by 600 to 1000 mm in last two years. This is a pure loss of costly raw materials like Coke.

Retrieval of bed cargo does help in accounting of the quantity but really no value addition is done as cargo is crushed.

One of the option to overcome this problem is to have the surface paved with reinforced concrete. The cost of this is really prohibitive in India. Ms Plate of 20thk will break at weld joints because of uneven surface.

I want to know from members if thk sheets made of PU/PP is spread over the yard which can take the load of movement of Pay Loaders also the stock pile ( Ht. 9.5 Mtrs).

If any such solutions exist, kindly let me know.
