Preliminary Announcement

The recent thrust by the Government of India to integrate the major ports along India's extensive coastline is a forceful economic reason to focus on the coastal transport of dry bulk commodities like cement, chemicals, minerals, petrochemicals, grains, oilseeds and related products.

The loading and unloading of dry bulk, breakbulk and containers for distribution to local and far markets is an exacting task, considering the volumes to be handled and the environmental controls required.

This conference deals with state-of-the-art systems and equipment in port handling and is structured to highlight latest worldwide developments in this area.

If you wish to present a paper at the conference, please visit http://www.technicomindia.com/porthand.htm for the list of topics and author guidelines. Last date for paper submissions: April 30, 2004.
