Martin Engineering, the Neponset, Illinois-based supplier of systems to improve bulk material handing, has announced the purchase of Scorpio Conveyor Products, Ltd, of Witbank, South Africa.

By purchasing Scorpio Conveyor Products Ltd. from Grinaker-LTA Limited, Martin Engineering now assumes a position as the leading supplier of belt cleaning and sealing systems and installation and maintenance services to the South African mining industry.

In South Africa, Scorpio Conveyor Products will continue to manufacture and distribute the full range of SCORPIO™ Products. In addition, the operation will now offer MARTIN® Products including belt cleaners, air cannons, engineered chute systems, impact cradles, load zone sealing systems, belt tracking devices, and industrial vibrators.
