Vibrating screens

As a wholesale grower of perennials I am searching for a way to clean our plants directly following harvest in the field. The plants are harvested and retain varying amounts of topsoil that needs to be returned to the field. Would a vibrating screen of some type work? Water was another idea, but the introduction of water to rinse the plants would make travel in the growing blocks difficult. The machine would have to be trailer mounted, either pto, remote hydraulic, or self powered, with the ability to load from a hopper into storage containers. Any Ideas? Thanks!

Yes, a vibrating screen will work. We have vibrators 12 volts in some cases, on screens that customers have made themselves and it works well. Without damage to plants.

Vibrating Screen For Perrenials

A small screen, 3'x6' or possibly even 2'x4' would do nicely depending on volume. (Assume it is not large). You would want an "Aggressive shake to it" to make the flower stems etc shake apart from the dirt part. A small wirecloth opening on the top that would have the flower organic material go over the top deck and collect the dirt underneath.

Lots of choices on power: Very small electric motor for the screener, say 5hp 1800 rpm type deal, go 3/8" circle throw and say 850 rpm range which will yield nominal 3.5 to 3.8 g's accelerating force....."aggressive shake" to cause a nice seperation. You can have hydraulic drive setup for the screen, and the belt feed to the screen or diesel/hydraulic setup, with integral feed hopper that moves in, easy setup, easy operating, easy wrap up.

Hello,

Our line of screeners can do what you require.

Soils we recommend 2X2 square mesh top screen

Bottom: 3/4 or 1/2 inch slotted wire.

This should give you the soil requried. We do have many different sizes of screens and can adjust as you require.

I would suggest Screen Titan Mini. You can haul this from site to site with a 1/2 ton truck. Designed for a skid steer loader. Depending on site conditions can screen 50 yards per hour.

Please visit our web site for all details. www.screentitan.com

Have a great day.
