Power Consumption for Belt Conveyors - World Wide
Does anyone have a database or know of statistics on power consumed for belt conveyors by country or for worldwide?
Have worked out figures based on sales and plant production factors for the black belt (carbon filler) industries.
The figure is astounding: 30-40 billion kwhrs./year if I am close.
I will share other data we are compiling on this impact to the global environment and potential benefits by prescribing better rubber compounds.
I am delivering three papers on the subject, "Improvements in Overland Conveyor Design" at different venues around the world this year: USA, South Africa; India
