China Iron and Steel Association, China Non-ferrous Industry Association and the Metallurgical Council of CCPIT have decided to jointly sponsor China International Metals Industry Fair (MetalsFair) in the most economically prosperous city, Guangzhou, South China.
MetalsFair , the largest of is kind in Asia, will be held from Nov. 12th to 15th, 2003, at the Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province. Covering a space of over 20,000 square meters, MetalsFair will display various products, technology and equipment related metal production and recycling. It boasts of seven professional exhibitions -- International Steel and Nonferrous Metals Industry Expo, International Metal Working Expo, International Hardware Expo, International Steel Construction Expo, International Stainless Steel Industry Expo, International Metal Recycling Expo, and International Ferroalloy and Refractory Industry Expo.
During the fair, several forums will simultaneously be organized. They are International Forum on Steel Market and Trade 2003, International Forum on Non-ferrous Market and Trade 2003, International Conference on Metal Production and Processing Technology 2003 and International Forum on Metal Recycling 2003.
An official from the Metallurgical Council of CCPIT said that China has become a most attractive and competitive place for global exhibitions and conferences on metal industry in 21st century because China is the world's largest metal market. Guangdong and south China are the country's largest metal consumer market and also one of the largest metal working and trading centers. New projects such as steel plants and stainless steel production facilities are being planned or under construction, thus making the region the country's most important, potential iron and steel production base.
The official expressed his confidence that Metalsfair would certainly attract businessmen and dealers across the world for trade talks or various forms of cooperation, and provide them a wide range of business opportunities.
