The incumbent will be an active member of a multi disciplined Technical Team in Mining which provides engineering support to Maintenance and Operations responsible for the Oilsand Slurry Preparation Plant, Hydrotransport and Pipeline Systems at Syncrude's Mines near Fort McMurray.
The incumbent will be assigned various design projects which include performing engineering analysis and designing modifications and improvements to existing equipment and components. Other project work will include the preparation of Design Basis Memorandums, Engineering Design Specifications and Detailed Design Packages for new plant equipment and structures
Candidates will be a Registered Professional Engineer with minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in the engineering and design of heavy industrial facilities and plants, and specializing in slurry preparation, processing, pumping and hydrotransport systems.
Candidates must have a good working knowledge of applicable engineering codes and industrial standards used for piping, pumps, slurry preparation, processing, hydrotransportation systems and associated equipment.
Candidates should possess good analytical and communications skills and prepared to work in a team environment. Must be eligible to work in Canada.
