Dear Mr. Kamal Agrawal,

As far as I am aware, there are only 2 pneumatic cement unloaders in the range you mention (700 to 800 tons/hr)

Which are, by the way, huge machines. (up to approx. 400 to 450 tons of weight)

They are built in the early 1990’s, hence almost 25 years old.

One is located in London and the oldest one is located in Long beach, Los Angeles.

Both units can unload 35000 dwt ships.

Power supply is around 11kV (50Hz and 60Hz) and the are both traveling on rails (Beam around 11 meters)

The technical condition after such a period of operation could be not optimal.

Also the technology on board is at least out of date.

Before you have a terminal operational in Africa, a lot of technical issues have to be solved and matched.

There are some pneumatic cement unloader of a smaller size (400-600 tons/hr, on rails on tires ad floating) in the world, but I do not know the location of those units.

Probably, screw unloaders are also available, but I doubt whether a screw unloader system (with a pneumatic discharge through a screw pump) is a good choice.

Screw unloaders have a high starting unloading rate, but fall back in clean up and are vulnerable to foreign objects, which can block a screw completely.

To get a blocked screw running again might involve complete dismantling.

Another option is, of course, the use of self-unloading cement carriers.

Local circumstance are sometimes “forcing” to a certain solution.

Success with your project.
