HELIOmix®-S – the new hopper loader generation with dedusting

A new release of compressed air hopper loader with a two-stage dedusting will be represented for the first time by HELIOS during the FAKUMA 2014 show in Friedrichshafen, Hall A3, Booth 3206. With help of HELIOmix®-S, the quantity of rejected parts in the injection moulding process basing on dust content in the plastic material can be considerably reduced.

In an optimal way dedusted resin

Exact batches of 100 to 200 grams will be conveyed into a dedusting chamber of glass and in doing so dedusted for the first time. That following separation will be made by injecting compressed air thus stirring the material up. In the process the sticking dust will be removed from the resin and separated. The dedusted batch will be led through a flat type discharge valve into the dryer or directly onto the polymer processing machine.

Standard equipment:

• plastic material conveying by means of an ejector suction conveyer technique

• dedusting chamber of special glass

• stirring up of resin by compressed air nozzles at discharge valve

• adjustable cleaning of dedusting chamber in between

• wear-resistant suction lance of stainless steel

• capacitive filling level sensors

• separate dust collection bin with a large scale clean air filter

• conveying and dedusting control with function keys

Optional equipment:

• two-component HELIOmix®-S hopper loader for virgin material and regrind

• 0,5 or 3 liter conical storage hopper

• machine adapter with a slide valve for injection moulding machines

Oktomat® descharging stations giving a benefit of the customers increasingly - shown live at the FAKUMA 2014

HELIOS will represent the Oktomat® discharging station with a Venturi type suction head live for the first time ever at the FAKUMA in hall A3, booth no. 3206. It is possible to run the Oktomat® discharging station without a separate vacuum unit with help of a compressed air supply only.

1996, HELIOS developed and brought on the market the first fully automated bulk material discharging systems ever in the world starting the discharging from the bag top. Until now, this patented system covers whole the scope of flowable plastic resins to the point of no more free-flowing regrind materials and proved itself for all common used bulk bags, such as octobins, bigbags, FIBCs and supersacks. .

Oktomat® Classic Plus is a very space saving system to discharge octobins

and bigbags making continuous operating possible from the front of the system.

Discharging stations for every application

The Oktomat® discharging stations are conforming to all areal conditions due to the different types of construction, such as the single tower type or the especially space saving portal type. There are four construction types available altogether. All types include a stainless steel suction head with integrated vibrator in standard to loosen the bulk material and to create material flow in an optimal way. At the same time the plastic inner liner of the octobin or the exterior wall of the big-bag will be pulled upwards and inwards by means of the patented automatic bag-lifting device. As the filling level drops, this action causes the bulk material to flow from the outside of the bag or inner liner towards the suction point. The bulk bag is lifted off the floor once the weight of the material left in the bag reaches a certain point and as a result permits complete emptying.

Operating principle of the complete emptying in case of the Oktomat® SOS.

The automatic bag-lifting device pulls the flexible bag upwards and inwards,

this action causes the bulk material to flow towards the suction point.

The bag is lifted off the floor completely at the end of the discharging process thus permitting complete emptying.

Individual functions for the benefit of the user

All Oktomat® discharging units can be individually installed. By using expandable optional equipments the systems conform to each area of application. Starting from the low-cost basic type going on to the full scale version with maximum of functionality, all is possible. Especially to improve the flowability of poorly flowing bulk materials, HELIOS is offering a number of individually expandable equipments, such as oscillating suction head and lifting ring or the bulk material fluidisation by means of injecting compressed air using nozzles on the the suction head. But also the automatich switch-over to the next full Oktomat® discharging station or a remote control are possible.

In case of applications for high level hygienic requirements, such as pharmaceutical or food-grade, HELIOS offers the Oktomat® CLEAN version of stainless steel completely. There are special equipments and systems intended for use even in a potentially explosive athmosphere. (ATEX).

Service before and after sale

To help undecided customers, HELIOS offers a test free of charge during 14 days.

Basing on the high „Made in Germany“ quality, the Oktomat® discharging stations are very robust and absolutely low-maintenance. In continuous operation in industrial everyday life, not more than on average for € 555,-- wear parts are necessary during 15 years. The wear parts will be delivered within max. 24 to the customer. Stable wooden transport boxes do not protect the pre-assebled Oktomat® discharging stations only in an ideal way but serve also as an assembling aid supporting essentially in assembling work. Helios consulting engineers will help at site to put the Oktomat® discharging stations into operation and train the operating personal.
