Dear Experts,

Please suggest on the special cares to be taken when designing a coal conveying plant with material moisture of 40-50% (Surface+inherent)

Material : Coal

Moisture : 40-50%

Capacity : 6800 TPH

Lump Size : 150mm & 50mm

Belt speed : 5.0 m/s

Shakee

You must de-water. Internal moister does not tend to be a problem. Free water is the problem as it will undercut the frictional between the material and the belt. We do find the our sandwich belt high angle conveyors are very successful in handling coal (or any materials) with excessive moisture. Because the material has positive contact with the belt sandwich at both the under and upper surfaces the free water does not undercut the frictional development. Indeed the material is conveyed successfully at high angles along with much of the moisture. When the free water is excessive it will leak out out of the sides of he sandwich but the material continues to the discharge.

Another hypothetical mistake begging for free development, if ever there was.

Is the capacity dry or wet....because the moisture is quoted as a variable?

There are only 2 particle sizes in your whole delivery. You've got a remarkably precise sizer...from where?

How far do you hope to shift this imaginary coal?

Why not just crush and pump? You seem to have your fair share of water at hand. Recycled solvent can be considered as the return strand in conveying parlance.

All cares are supposedly addressed. If you address any care as special it is probable that the fundamentals have not been properly addressed.

Start by providing meaningful data. If you don't get the question right you cannot expect a satisfactory answer.

Mr.Johngateley

The details furnished are those provided by the client in the tender. Except the lump size, which was mentioned as -150mm. Since I have another tender with 35% moisture coal and lump size as -50mm, I included that also in this.
