Dear Srs,

We are designing a long bag fabric filter (>8 meters bag) and we have some doubts about the correct distance between the pulse pipe and the top of the bag. For a high pressure baghouse with 6,5 meters bag we usually use something about 5.3/4" but I guess for the long bag technology this distance may change. I read some articles that say that o have to increase this height to obtain more secondary air, others saying that you have to keep the 6" height.

We do not want to use Venturis and we are considering to use or not those special nozzles by Goyen, or just do a welded nozzle.

The pulse pressure it's in a range between 25-50 psi.

I thank you all in advance.

Best Regards.

Sounds as though you are setting yourself up for lots of R&D and experimentation. Long filter bags are a risky business. Why not ask a reputable manufacturer to supply you one?

We believe that long bag filters worth the risk, considering that it is more attractive in terms of cost and it's efficiency seems to be the same.
