The Institute of Mining Engineering I (BBK I) at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany has been holding symposia on topics concerning mineral raw materials supply and mining for more than 15 years within the “Aachen International Mining Symposia” (AIMS) series and is pleased to announce that the first edition of the abstract volume is now online.
Download the first version of the AIMS 2013 abstract volume at http://www.aims.rwth-aachen.de/en/presentationspresentations and glance at the abstracts of most presentations that will be held at AIMS 2013.
Furthermore, online registration is now available at http://www.aims.rwth-aachen.de/en/registrationregistration.

The hyperlink for the payment with credit card will be sent to you by email directly after the registration.
The first thematic area of the Symposium – MINE DEVELOPMENT – focuses on the physical development of mining projects:
Mine Planning, Organization and Logistics
Continuous Mining Technologies for Hard-Rock Applications
Machine Technology and Equipment
Operational Experiences
Future Technological Options
Mining Processes and Resource Efficiency
Additionally, the second thematic area of AIMS 2013 – MINERAL RESOURCES – focuses on sustainable development and supply of mineral resources and related topics:
Mining Policies, Strategies and Concepts
Mineral Resources Management and Supply Situation (incl. Critical Raw Materials)
Legal Aspects, Permits and Financing
Environmental Challenges and Approaches
Views, Statements and Needs of Governments, Sectors and Enterprises
Since the first AIMS conference on Rockbolting in Mining in the year 1987, the symposium has become a regular meeting of international mining and minerals experts. We expect approximately 300 delegates from all over the world, thus you can look forward to meeting senior representatives and decision makers of governments, industry, research institutions, investment communities, suppliers of the minerals and mining industry and related fields.
Both the exhibition at the symposium venue and the traditional Dinner Party at the Aula Carolina on 22 May, 2013 will offer ample opportunity to make new contacts and renew old ones.
The AIMS 2013 symposium will be sponsored by Caterpillar Global Mining Europe GmbH, Minova CarboTech GmbH and Hilti Aktiengesellschaft. If you are interested in an individually designed sponsorship please contact the symposium secretariat.
