Dedusting of Tripper Conveyor

Dear Friends,

We have envisaged Suction points to tripper conveyor and planned to add these points to the existing Dedusting line. We have considered the air volume to be exhausted from these suction points as per ACGIH hand book but the problem is connecting these suction points to the existing duct line. As the tripper car will be moving from one silo to other while feeding, so please suggest us how to provide a flxible connection for this other than Zipper ducting.

A Very Moving Problem

Face to face seals will be adequate unless you are in hazardous zones.

Because dust does not settle as soon as the tripper moves it is usual to fit a cartidge type dust extraction unit in the tripper discharge.

Dear louispanjang

cartidge type Bag Filter is a good option (which will moves along with tripper conveyor) but we are planning to connect the suction points of tripper conveyor to cyclone-scrubber system that will be located in a junction house. So please suggest how to connect theses suction points.

Thanks,

Pavan.

Face to face seals with automatic isolating dampers at each unloading point is the best option. Zipper duct is subject to lots of leakage and potential maintenance problems, especially if a long run.
